East Rail Line is run by 2 types of train: MLR and SP1900, SP1900 is the latest model with undercar skirt to reduce traction noise. Q Damper provides 10dB(A) rail vibration reduction and 18dB vibration reduction at 1250Hz.

2-4dB(A) Trackside Noise Reduction

Since SP1900 consist of undercar skirt and less affected by tractor motor noise, Q Damper provides 4dB(A) noise reduction. Noise from MLR is affected by its tractor motor noise.
