Railway Ground Borne Noise Retrofit Solution

After decades of effort, our team has made a remarkable breakthrough in rail damper technology. Q Damper provides extra-strong damping force (more than double comparing to the previous) and individual tunable for each site for Low-rail and High-rail.

Same Effect, Less Dampers

Rail dampers are typically installed on both rails at each sleeper spacing in order to maximize noise reduction. Latest Q Damper design could achieve 4 dB(A) noise reduction in train saloon noise with full installation of dampers at the low rail while quarter installation high rail at a curved track.

Corrugation Growth Rate Reduction

The corrugation growth rate reduction effect the of Q Damper have been observed since its first site trail in 2010. In out latest project, Q Damper could reduce corrugation growth rate by 90% at its tuned frequency. This could increase the duration of rail grinding cycle or as a retrofit solution to corrugation-prone railway.
